Physical description: Malia has wavy dark blonde hair and brown eyes, and she stands about 5'2" in her bare feet. She carries some baby fat on her face and stomach, and she only recently stopped wearing her hair in braids all the time. She spends a lot of her time around her parents pouting, though she would never admit to it, and reserves most of her smiles for her friends and boys she likes.
She has a tan from helping her father and middle brother in the vineyard, and is surprisingly strong for her stature. She keeps her hair long and likes to smell like flowers, but isn't afraid to hitch up her skirts and get to work when a job needs to be done. Outside of her immediate family, and sometimes with her brothers, she tends to grin and laugh a lot.

Personality: Malia is a fourteen year old girl. She's sarcastic, sassy, and thinks she's a lot more grown up than she actually is. Underneath all of that, though, she is a scrappy and kind girl who wants to be useful to her family and hopes to grow up in a trade. She isn't sure what, yet, and doesn't feel drawn to either of the "family businesses." What she knows for certain is that as much as she likes boys, and possibly girls, she isn't quite sure how she feels there yet and hasn't talked about it with anyone, she doesn't want to be "just" somebody's wife.
Unlike some of her peers, Malia has a habit of sticking up for people instead of picking on them. She hates a bully of any age or rank and has difficulty keeping herself from saying something or even sometimes wading in physically. That has definitely gotten her in trouble, before, but while she can fake an apology she never really feels particularly repentant about it.
History: Born in Southern Hold, Malia grew up following her father and brothers around the vineyard and stealing grapes to eat while they weren't looking. She is the baby of the family, and the only girl, and her mother did her best not to let anyone spoil her and at least mostly succeeded. She has never been the prettiest girl in the Hold, but she has one of the strongest personalities and other children tend to either love her or hate her. She liked to climb trees and explore, the higher the tree the better, and would follow her older brothers on their adventures.
As she has gotten to be an adolescent, Malia has stopped being quite as biddable and developed more attitude toward her parents. She has also started spending more time alone, or with a few close friends. A few of her father's bottles of wine have gone missing. She has also, on her off days, gone out into the forest surrounding the Hold to have some time alone with her thoughts. Nonetheless, her parents can still count on her to do the work they ask her to do, albeit with a few grumbles sometimes, and to do it well, so they haven't really come down on her for it, yet.
OOC:What is your character’s candidate type? Dragon
What color would you most prefer your character Impress? Why? Scarlet or green would probably be the best fit for Malia. She's an adventurous person who is going to love flying, and she wouldn't enjoy her dragon not being able to chew firestone. She's somewhat ambitious but would prefer to be known for how she flies and fights thread than otherwise.
Any colors you absolutely don’t want? Why? No queens due to her age, also Shadow would probably bring out the worst in her.
IC:What personality traits would you like to see in your dragon/wher? Like most teens, Malia takes herself a bit too seriously. A dragon with some ability to make her laugh and soften the teenaged angst would be particularly good for her.
What do you most hope Impressing will develop in your character? Maturity, daring, focus, and a little bit more gentleness and tenderness--at least toward her dragon.
