Tall, muscular and tan skinned, he looks about as tough as he is. He has dark hair, green eyes and a set of thick eyebrows that make him appear more serious than he probably is. His hair has a natural wave to it though it isn’t as thick as he’d like it to be. He generally keeps it about shoulder length. His facial hair varies from a goatee to a full on beard, depending on his mood and ability to care for it. Rhaenthwor looks rather rugged.
He wears durable clothes. As a child he wore the worst hand-me downs. Now that he can afford clothes of his own, he saves until he gets something he truly wants. Generally speaking, he wear dark browns, blacks and the occasional tan or dark green. His pants are neither loose nor tight and he has a pair of thick dark brown wher hide boots which match his belt. He carries with him most of the time, a hilted sword and an axe strapped to his back. Inside of his boot he keeps a dagger.

Personality:Quietly unassuming despite his size most of the time, he is a hard man to have a conversation with. He tends to listen more than talk though he is thinking about things plenty. He doesn’t like to be made to talk politics of any kind. He also does not like to open up about himself. He is simply what he presents on the outside, he doesn’t want people digging any deeper than that. He can be obtuse and circle around the obvious if need be.
He isn’t going to be the sort of person to remember your birthingday or try to cheer you up when you are down. Rhaenthwor is more likely to help you when you are in trouble or do something that is useful for you. He isn’t one to befriend people, but he does have a lot of acquaintances. Relationships for him are like ships passing through. Rhaenthwor is not blind, he knows he is a good looking man, big and muscular and that women (and the occasional man) notice this. He tends to take full advantage of his good looks in order to seduce women though he would absolutely never take anyone by force and nor would he need to. He tries not to allow them to get attached to him so his relationships are usually short-lived.
Rhaenthwor likes a good joke and a good drink. He can play hard when he allows himself too but in all honesty he tries to keep that person inside. He doesn’t want anyone to think he is soft. Even if despite it all he comes off as the rough around the edges, nice guy. That said, he puts himself first. Not his father, not his brother. If it came to him or them, he would choose himself, every single time. He is selfish in that way. He isn’t actually as humble as he might seem.
He has a temper. Which he tries not to allow other people to see. But it is there whether he likes it or not. His temper gets him into fights sometimes. Although he usually wins them due to his training and size. Rhaenthwor is a bit more passionate than he would like people to believe. He strives to be more like his father but it is quite clear that he holds onto a rage that his father does not have. Rhaenthwor is the opposite of apathetic. His emotions could rule him if he didn’t keep them in check with his strong willpower.

He doesn’t remember much of anything before Drethon found him and took him in. He’d lived on his own for at least two Turns by that time. He had a mother and a father at some point but where they lived or what they did he had no clue. He assumed when Drethon took him in that his family was gone. Why else would a six Turn old be wandering the Southern Continent alone? In any case, mostly he had been wandering until he was six. At which point he began to learn about being part of Avidian’s business. He trained with Drethon mostly, not allowed to partake in anything too critical.
When he was eleven, Zaliphver’s mother died giving birth to him and he became Rhaenthwor’s brother. He, much like Drethon, would never say it, but he instantly loved the little boy. They might be a family of boys but there was no less love between them. Even if they failed to tell eachother their feelings. He felt the need to teach Zaliphver everything he knew. So as they both aged it became harder for him not to boss the other boy around.
Rhaenthwor spent much of his adult Turns up to this point, Guarding the merchandise as it is being smuggled from this place to that. He became quite skilled with weapons. He bartered for a very nice axe and sword when he was twenty six. He keeps both weapons near him at all times. He also keeps a dagger in his boot. And he doesn’t even need weapons to kill a person but he finds them much more fun.
He fell in love with a woman when he was twenty eight but she never quite returned his feelings. As such, he is pretty much a free man and tends to act that way.
With the rider’s coming and changing their caverns, he isn’t sure what to make of them. He tends to keep his thoughts to himself and lets his father guide him on what to do or say concerning the new additions. Like him, he sees there might be opportunity. He supports Zaliphver’s decision to Stand for a dragon, now that they’ve seen soe of their own Impress. They would probably prove useful at some point, though he really couldn’t care. He doesn’t like to involve himself in politics.
He has decided he would like to try to bond to a wher. Because he sees that as being most helpful to him and perhaps he might just be a little unsure of what else he can do to keep himself busy and not being a little jealous of his younger brother’s opportunity to Stand for a dragon.
When it came time to Stand for the four Wher eggs that were found and brought to White Lightning, he thought he knew what to expect. However as he and Tahlana were both chosen to Stand for the Gold Egg, he never really thought to bond to something as auspicious as a Gold. He thought at first as the Gold Bonded to Tahlana that he might have to run for it but before he could do so another little wher appeared from the same shell. She came forward, eagerly drinking in what blood he offered. Next thing he knew they were bonded.
